As the school year begins to draw to a close, students are getting excited. However, along with this excitement is worry and stress since AP exams begin soon.
For two weeks, beginning on Monday, May 4th and ending onFriday, May 15th, students at Monticello High School will be taking the AP exams that they have registered for. Below is a copy of the AP testing schedule.
If you are registered for an AP exam, you must find your own transportation to and from the exam. It is not definite that you will finish the exam in time to ride the bus home.
You should bring to the exam room:
- A few sharpened No. 2 pencils
- Pens with dark blue or black ink
- A watch
- Your social security number (optional)
- Up to two calculators (if you are taking the AP Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, or Statistics Exam)
- A ruler or straightedge, not a protractor (if you are taking the AP Physics Exam)
On the day of your AP exam, you are excused from all of your classes. In order to miss class on the day of your exam, it is important that you turn in your permission form with your parent or guardian’s signature to the guidance office. Once you are done with your exam, you may leave school, but you need to make up any classwork you miss on your own time.
Remember to eat breakfast, bring a snack and drink for your 10-minute break during the exam, and get a good night’s sleep! You may also want to consider bringing a sweater or jacket in case the testing room is cold.
Study hard and good luck!
